The North West Hawks U17AAA program (formally Minor Midget) started with the 2018-2019 season. The team is comprised of 14 and 15 year olds. The U17AAA league includes all 10 zone teams. Teams play 36 League games, including 2 Showcase weekends, plus play-offs. This includes 4-5 out-of-town travel games. League games are 3 x 20 min periods with ice cleans. The team may participate in 1 local or out-of-town tournament. Players receive 120 hours of on-ice training, + 50 hours of game time ice and 75 hours of fitness and off-ice training.
